This comprehensive resource was developed under a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy’s “Rebuild America” program and is also intended primarily for architects and engineers. It presents 15 expert lectures that address the basic principles, strategies and technologies involved in creating well-daylit, high performance schools.

CHPS has created a wealth of information – including its 4-volume “Best Practices Manual” series – on the design, construction and operation of high performance schools.

Created in 1997 by the U.S. Department of Education, NCEF is a free public service that provides information on planning, designing, funding, building, improving, and maintaining schools. NCEF maintains the most comprehensive library of resources currently available on all aspects of high performance schools.
